Autumn in Bath
10th Jan 2023
It’s hard for us to pick out our favourite time of the year to visit Bath, given that it looks so beautiful throughout the year, but Autumn in Bath is extra special with a jam-packed events calendar and bustling social scene. Here is the Bath Luxury Rentals guide to what to do in Autumn in Bath.
Here is our guide to the top things to do in Bath this Autumn.
Walk the Bath Skyline
The Bath Skyline is a National Trust Guided route that takes in some spectacular views of Bath, as its names suggests and includes some woodland that skirts Capability Brown’s Prior Park Gardens and we couldn’t think of a more colourful time of the year to enjoy that. Prefect for dog walking, but not very buggy or wheelchair friendly.
Get Your Scare On
Join a Bath ghost tour, take a local scarecrow trail or head to the House of Frankenstein a multi award-wining immersive attraction dedicated to the work of Mary Shelley who wrote Frankenstein whilst in Bath and is perfect for this time of year.
Pick a Pumpkin
Join family friendly fun at Avon Valley Wildlife Park picking pumpkins for seasonal lantern making.
Aim High
Enjoy the Bath skyline from the rooftop pool of Thermae Bath Spa and take in the Autumn sunsets from the warmth of the UK’s only natural spring water.
Cosy Up!
Head to one of Bath’s many cinemas each offering something different. The Little Theatre Cinema have a programme of art-house films, Tivoli for all the thrills or The Odeon for all the latest blockbusters.
Take Your Seats
Bath’s Theatre Royal attracts the finest of touring shows, plays and comedy. Also check out neighbouring The Egg, Bath’s very own children’s theatre for more events for all the family.
Eat, Drink & Merry
Seems obvious but this is roast season after all and Bath has a plethora of fabulous pubs and restaurants offering seasonal dishes. Favourites are The Marlborough Tavern, Green Park Brasserie or The BoatHouse for views of the Avon.
