1 – Walk the Winter Skyline
Arguably the best view of the city of Bath is from this National Trust signposted trail; more strenuous in places it’ll certainly double up as a work-out which is never a bad thing at this time of the year, but we would wholly recommend it to you as an excellent way to see the best of Bath.
2 – Better Extreme, Bath Sports Centre
Get busy during your stay in Bath this winter and head to Bath’s sports centre boasts a bowling alley, a trampoline park (with differing age programmes so little ones can safely avoid bigger ones), a swimming pool, studios and a gym… check the excellent and diverse programme online as there is something for all the family.
3 – Take a Winter time roof top dip in the Thermae Bath Spa pool
When it’s cold outside the Thermae Bath Sap roof-top pool is an extra-special wintery treat with views of the Bath skyline from the open-air mineral-rich waters. This is an excellent wintery treat during your winter stay in Bath.
4 – Walk the Canal from Bath to Bradford on Avon
The Avon Canal path is an easily accessible flat walk, or bike ride, to the market town of Bradford-on-Avon a lovely visit however you decide to get there. Along the way are cafés and pubs to stop if you need to and the path ends almost at the train station perfect if you decide to let the train take the strain on the way home. This makes for an excellent walk at any time of the year and a great winter walk for all the family.

5 – Prior Park, National Trust
Check out Capability Brown’s handy work at this beautiful National Trust Prior Park managed landscaped garden during your Winter time trip to Bath. Grab a map and follow the paths to the world-famous Palladium Bridge that you may recognise from Poldark no less!

6 – Cycle the Two Tunnels
This old railway track has been lovingly made safe for cyclists (and walkers) by cycle champions Sustrans and takes in 2 old tunnels, one being the Combe Down Tunnel which is the longest walking/cycling tunnel in the UK and is a full mile long. Its flat ish and off road so perfect for children too. The tunnels are lit and a super exciting experience and make for a fun family friendly winter time activity in Bath.
